Well the wvsportsinsider is in trying times just like everyone else. There isn't enough hours in the day to give every relevant story it's due attention. So, in that spirit here's the juice as fast as I can type
-WVU men's basketball will not got to a 6th consectutive NCAA birth. The team has underperfromed and managed to make the football program look succesfull this year. What's wrong? Maybe the player's are tired of being berated by thier coach every chance he gets! Seriously Bob Huggins has to be the meanest coach in the country right now. He takes absoloutley no personal responsibility for this team's preformance. All Huggin's has to say is, "I can't reach them, They don't listen. I have never had team that wouldn't compete. I never saw this coming." Hey Bob, maybe if you'd lay off the Hienenken and Freshman chicks you would have time to notice you run down these guy's like thier dogs! Get it together and take some responsibility for YOUR lack of leadership or kick rocks!
-Steadman, Geno, Austin all may go in the 1st round of NFL draft. These men, while relishing the opprotunity of becoming overnight millionaire's, must be gritting thier teeth at WVU defensive coordinator Joe Deforest, for giving them ZERO help this season. All 3 WVU alum's turned in 1st round quality workout's at the NFL combine and are now just waiting for the dream to come true. Way to go guy's, I wish you all the best!
-Manti Teo is an idiot, but a famous idiot, and that makes him a huge story. The latest bit of media fodder is the problem NFL teams are having trying to figure out how to word the question are you gay? The politically correct b.s. culture in this country makes it's hard to ask the qeustion but, it is relevant. Note I said relevant, not right. Here's the equation for the slow guy's out there. Manti gay= public histaria from small % of fan base= potential loss of a couple million dollars= we(the team drafting him) needs to know. Is there a gay football player in NFL today? certainley. Is there an openly gay star NFL player today? No. Will there be one? Yes. Is it Manti? Doubt it.
-No rest for Joe Pa. I tell you Joe Pa got a bumb rap. He was too old at the time of all the event's that lead his demonising. I can say with a good amount of certainity that Joe Pa was not truly running Penn St. since mid 90's. He was a goodwill ambassador for the team, not kept in the loop, old, and sick for who know's how long before his demise.
-Tom Brady. I hate him however, he made the best p.r. move of his life recently. He restructured his contract so as to make less money, so as to help New England get some more player's. This isn't the greatest act of philanthropy ever but, show's he is a team guy.
-Lastly, enjoy being you. In the rat race that is life, we in the sports fan communtiy often look at the athlete's we idolise, compare ourselve's to them, feel relativley puny and unaccomplished, and wish we were them. I offer you 4 trades I wouldn't make for my life. Manti Teo. The guy just isn't smart! He should have any girl in the country but instead dates non-exsistent chicks who are dying of terminal diseases. Oscar Pistorius. This double amputee wonder burts onto world seen competing in the olympics against guy's who had both thier legs. he didn't win but, he was able to compete and became famous, then, he killed his girlfriend and now will probably due a lot of time in prison. Speaking of prison, O.J. Simpson. I can't say much more but wow. Appearantly O.J. has become quite the lady killer in prison(yea pun intended), in an all male prison. you do the math, Finally. Junior Seua. He had fame, fotune, good looks, a great family and was a legend. In the end however, he decided he had to put a bullet in his head. So tragic. Keep the Faith!
